Socialism

“The problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other people’s money.” Margaret Thatcher
“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, it’s inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” Winston Churchill
Webster: the stage of society, in Marxist doctrine, coming between the capitalist stage and the communist stage, in which private ownership of the means of production and distribution has been eliminated: see COMMUNISM (sense 2): a hypothetical stage of socialism, as formulated by Marx, Engels, Lenin, and others, to be characterized by a classless and stateless society and the equal distribution of economic goods, and to be achieved by revolutionary and dictatorial, rather than gradualistic, means. Synonyms: state socialism, Marxism, Marxism-Leninism, Bolshevism, Stalinism, Leninism, dictatorship of the proletariat, collectivism, state ownership of production, equal distribution of wealth
You might want to read Webster’s definition of Socialism again. This time note the names of men associated with trying to implement this doctrine on a national level. Most of us have little if any information concerning the atrocities committed by these men though it would have and would now serve the future of our country well to begin educating our youth of the facts. You can begin by Googling; the number of people massacred under Lenin. If they knew, if any thinking human knew the ultimate outcome of every attempt of socialism, they would no doubt embrace the values set forth in the United States of America’s Constitution.
You might want to read Webster’s definition of Socialism again. This time noting what happens to ‘private ownership’. The black and white inference here is of an intellectual, arrogant elite better able to deal with eliminating inequalities. Those who refuse to recognize their ineptness…all those who out of ignorance, stupidity, lack of talents and abilities are imprisoned, tortured, murdered…men, women, children alike. And eventually even some who didn’t oppose these dictators suffered the same fates.
You might want to read Webster’s definition of Socialism one more time. This time noting the means by which socialism is to be achieved and its goals; ‘by revolutionary and dictatorial means’ and ‘to be characterized by a classless and stateless society and the equal distribution of economic goods’.
You might argue that here in the United States of America we’re not vulnerable to the means by which total socialism is can be had. And that what socialism we do have is necessary for securing the benefits for all that freedom has achieved. In essence it’s balancing out freedom with socialistic ideologies. Governments have never been good at this primarily because they lack the moral bases for achieving this balance. Without this moral foundation history illustrates the depravities man can sink to. Especially those in power. God’s teachings prepare the individual to think of others not as equals but, to think of them more highly than himself. Man’s Godless attempts to equalize has without exception been to poison thinking resulting in ‘unthinkable atrocities.’
How do you prepare a free country for a revolution and in need of a dictator? The pattern has been basically the same with each attempt. It’s really quite simple. The number of steps relatively few.
First one group who thinks they’ve the power, means and moral obligation, superior, begin a campaign to bring equality to all. Sounds good doesn’t it. Let me do this for you, even if I have to dislodge some of your loyalties to family, friends and government…have to sacrifice a few others…if you’ll help, I’ll do this for you.
Secondly, someone has to be villainized, blamed for the inequities. Even if it requires going back into the past several generations, resentment has to be fostered. The blatant inference is you’re to blame, we’re demanding you fix it. Once someone is villainized, declared guilty of a crime(s) their defense, no matter how valid is no longer heard. The hope is enough will be convinced there are villains. Even if they’re not the villains nay need to be convinced they are and should begin making restitution and sacrifices that will eliminate class distinctions, racism, poverty, ideological differences, different world views…eliminate as much diversity as possible except between the elite and those they claim to be helping.
Thirdly the victims have to be defined. As mentioned above resentment has to be fostered. The best group(s) being those most easily brought to resent are those made to feel inferior in as many ways as possible. Fostering resentment is key. “I resent what you did, and/or your ancestors did to bring me to where I am now.” When this thought is secured within a mind villanization and victimization is accomplished. What’s needed next is the forced sacrifices by the villains to accomplish equalization.
I’m reminded of the tweet by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stating if a few businesses had to be sacrificed to get President Trump out of office then it would be worth it. Note she is willing to sacrifice others, not herself. This ‘sacrificing others’ is at the heart of socialistic thinking. It seems intellectually logical. If I’m to have the power, the means to make you equal, pull you out of your poverty whatever it might be I cannot afford any personal sacrifice that would weaken me. In fact, the more powerful I become the quicker I can rid you of resentment, the causes of your resentment. Do you see the blatant contradiction? Inequality is actually increasing though the number of groups involved is decreasing to the ruling class and the ruled class.
Socialism is in direct opposition to God’s approach of achieving equality. It is a Godless attempt at governing. It lacks the very moral foundation necessary for achieving equality. Do you see another blatant contradiction? While declaring all equal it creates villains, victims and saviors. Socialism is a violent, violation of God’s plan for humanity that has repeatedly resulted in man committing ‘unbelievable atrocities’ against man.
Unlike socialistic thinking God declares us all villains and victims. Unlike socialistic thinking He doesn’t approach bringing about equality by way of resentment, but forgiveness. Unlike socialistic thinking where one group of humanity is deemed those needing to sacrifice, He declared I’ll have to make the necessary sacrifice to give all the chance to become equal. Unlike socialistic thinking He doesn’t view it necessary to diminish diversity to achieve the strength inherent in equality, rather He desires to increase the diversity of each individual forever and unite that diversity through love.
I was looking at a penny yesterday and inscribed on it is, “In God We Trust”. In the past every nation who has, has prospered. Every nation that has not has perished.
